Our Project Scheduling course provides hands-on, immediately applicable training that will help a project manager and team deliver on time. It teaches specific principles related to how a project manager should plan, execute and control a schedule. It also focuses in on specific skills and techniques that can help a team meet their critical milestones!

 

What You Will Experience

In this 1 day course you will be immersed in a case that will help you truly understand scheduling principles. Your instructor will guide you through thoughtful discussions about each key topic. You will also participate in activities that are designed to provide hands-on experience with building and controlling a schedule. As part of the course, you will receive the following materials:

Specific Knowledge Gained

This course is compliant with Project Management Institute (PMI®) principles and terminology. Participants will develop an understanding of the following tools, techniques and principles:

 

* Project management fundamentals

* Scope and WBS development

* Estimating resources

* Estimating durations and costs

* Sequencing tasks

* Determining the Critical Path

* Understanding Float

* Optimizing and leveling resources

* Baselining a schedule

* Monitoring, tracking and updating a schedule

 

These knowledge areas are taken from the Glossary of Project Management Institute, A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge, (PMBOK® Guide) Fifth Edition, Project Management Institute Inc., 2013.
